Welcome to By Jess (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website www.by-jess.co.uk (the “Site”) and your purchase of any products from us. By accessing our Site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. They may be updated to reflect changes to business or legal requirements. 2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a purchase from our Site. By placing an order, you confirm that all details you provide are true and accurate.
3. Products
All fabric and hand-printed products are handmade using second-hand, preloved, minorly defected or deadstock fabrics and may show signs of wear, age or imperfection. We aim to describe and photograph items accurately, but variations may occur due to screen differences or the used nature of items. 4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely through Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe). We do not store or have access to your full payment details. Orders are only confirmed once full payment has been received. If an error occurs in pricing or description, we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund you in full.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are shipped from Northern Ireland via Royal Mail. We currently ship to the UK only. Delivery times vary depending on your location. Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Please ensure your delivery address is correct at checkout — we cannot be responsible for lost items due to incorrect addresses.
6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Because our items are handmade, we recommend reading descriptions carefully before purchasing. We accept returns if the item arrives damaged or not as described; or you contact us within 14 days of delivery to arrange a return. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Once your return is received and inspected, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us immediately at www.by-jess.co.uk. Orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled but may be eligible for return under the policy above.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including logos, photos, text, and designs — is owned by or licensed to By Jess and protected under UK copyright laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
While we do our best to ensure the Site is accurate and secure, By Jess is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses or damages, any loss arising from misuse of products or issues caused by third-party service providers (e.g. Royal Mail delays). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other rights you have under UK consumer law.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
