a bit about me

Hi, I’m Jess!

I love all things colour, pattern, fun and textiles! Much of my artistic inspiration comes from what I see outdoors in creation. The joy I feel in the sea and the vibrancy of colours in the sun make my imagination come alive and my hands get busy creating!

I have always loved art; my granny taught me to crochet when I was little and I realised that love for textile art later in my teenage years.

I am a huge advocate for slowing down the pace of the fashion & textile industry … which is where you come in! From my end, I aim to waste as little as possible; I use natural fibres (mostly cotton & linen) and source found fabrics (preloved and deadstock) in my work.

Honestly, when I was younger I thought anything other than brand-new was a no-go. I thought charity shops were musty, fusty & dusty. But now I understand what a treasure they are! By taking what someone no longer wants and giving it a new lease of life, textile waste is prevented and you get a cool new piece for your wardrobe. Pretty good deal I’d say.

So I hope you feel this same joy from my work and see how it reflects the One who created everything it’s inspired by!
